Carl Khalife

Researcher (‘21)
Currently: Management Consultant at Bain

Bain & Company

After undertaking an Undergraduate Research Placement with TSLab during his time as a Civil & Environmental Engineering student at Imperial College London (MSc), Carl joined the group again as a Research Assistant after completing his MSc in Analytics and Management at London Business School. Passionate about electrifying transport, Carl’s research focuses on the design of modern urban mobility platforms with a particular emphasis in advanced mathematical programming and agent-based simulation methods.

Carl has been developing a systems-level approach to optimising urban air mobility networks, modelling the interactions between vertiport placement, vehicle sizing and dispatch strategy on the wider UAM system. His work aims to inform policy-making in the development of emerging transportation concepts. He is also a member of Wharton’s Moelis Advance Access Program cohort, where he will undertake an MBA in Public Policy in 2022.
